Easy Apple Tart
2 sheets of puff pastry
1 c. chopped walnuts
5 medium Sunrise apples, peeled, cored and sliced into thin wedges
1 c. apple cider
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. nutmeg
1/2 t. allspice
Easy Apple Tart

Thaw puff pastry at room temperature and place on a cookie sheet. Crimp the edges to create a border. Chop the walnuts very fine. Add brown sugar and blend. Spread evenly over the pastry. In a oven safe pan, reduce the one cup of apple cider to about 1/2 by letting it boil for about 10 minutes. Add the apples along with 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tps. cinnamon and 1/2 tsp of allspice and nutmeg. Let the apples simmer for about 10 minutes and remove from heat while they are still firm. Arrange the apples in rows in the oven safe pan or tart pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Serve with ice cream or cool whip.
