Apple Cranberry Crisp

Ingredients

  • 6 Tart Apples (We prefer Cortland), peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1 1/4 Cups Cranberries
  • 2/3 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3/4 Cup Rolled oats, quick or regular
  • 1/2 Cup Firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Cup Flour
  • 6 Tablespoons Cold butter, cut in small pieces
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped pecans

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Mix apples, cranberries, and sugar together; spoon into a lightly buttered 11x7x2 inch baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and flour.
  4. Cut in cold butter until coarse crumbs form.
  5. Stir in chopped pecans.
  6. Sprinkle topping evenly over apples and press down lightly.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees for about 30 to 35 minutes or until topping is browned and fruit is tender and bubbly.
  8. Serve with ice cream.
