Heritage comparable to Mark Twain's Mississippi River Stories
Mark Twain wrote fondly of the mighty Mississippi River and, its activities, and the land surrounding it - rolling hills, bluffs, and rich farmland. It's a heritage in the history we pass along in our traditional reading of Mark Twain's books. Sunrise Orchards has a rich heritage in the land itself. Our orchard is situated on rich farmland amongst green rolling hills that make Wisconsin stand apart from other areas known for apple growing.
Our Apple Orchard and growing a variety of apples has been a family tradition - now 4 generations for over 75 years. Quality is a standard we take seriously and that's why we submit ourselves to USDA oversight as assurance of safety and quality to your family - from our family.
Follow the pathways written about by Mark Twain, take in the sights, sounds and abundance of the Mississippi River Valley. It's an adventure no matter the season. But then take a short detour inland to Gays Mills where we're located. You will find a few treats for your taste buds - the World famous Honeycrisp apple and our freshly made Apple Cider Doughnuts. Mark Twain wasn't able to enjoy them in his time - but you can today!

Opening for the seasonWhen: AUGUST ????Plans at this time is that we will be opening in mid- August for the 2012 season. Exact date not set yet....will post as soon as we see what the early spring has done for harvest season!! |

9th Annual Sunrise Honeycrisp DaysWhen: September 8-9, 2012We think this will be the date but not "cast in stone" yet!!! We will see what the early spring does to harvest dates and maybe, just maybe we will have our delicious Honeycrisp apples available for sale earlier than in the past....keep in touch for updates!! |
Sunrise "Donut Daze"When: September 15-16, 2012Mouth watering and absolutely delicious...everyone has to try one of our Sunrise Apple Cider Donuts!! They are so special here at Sunrise that we have dedicated an entire weekend of fun just for them!!! |

Sunrise Sampler DaysWhen: October 6-7, 2012The tradition of sampling and enjoying many of our famous Sunrise products continue. This weekend is also "Breast Cancer Survivor Weekend" at the orchard. A portion of the proceeds (Donation for 2011 exceeded $2600) for several of the items that we sell will be donated to the Pink Ribbon Riders, an organization dedicated to helping with expenses for men and women battling breast cancer!! |
