🍓 Strawberry Season Update from Sunrise Orchards 🍓

🍓 Strawberry Season Update from Sunrise Orchards 🍓

Due to several spring frost events, this year's strawberry crop will be limited. We expect to begin picking a small quantity of berries on Friday, June 5, and will continue harvesting nearly every day as the shortened crop ripens.

Because of the limited supply, we will be offering pre-picked berries only this season.

To place an order or check current availability and pricing, please call our Hillcrest Strawberry Line at (608) 624-5753 beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 4. Brenda or Sandy will be happy to answer your questions. The phone line will be staffed daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. throughout the strawberry season, which we expect to last approximately two weeks.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this challenging year. Looking ahead, we are optimistic! This spring, we planted 20,000 new strawberry plants, and if all goes well, we anticipate an outstanding crop in 2027. The new planting is irrigated, and we plan to use frost-control measures next spring to help ensure a bountiful harvest of beautiful berries.

🍎 On a brighter note, our apple crop escaped the freeze and is looking excellent!

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours truly,

Allen Teach, President
